Bob Falcone ("Hiking Bob") has been a Colorado Springs resident for more than 30 years. A retired career firefighter and U.S. Air Force veteran, Bob is an avid hiker & outdoorsman. Bob spends his days traveling around Colorado and the American Southwest searching for hiking and photography opportunities and adventures, often with his loyal companion Coal the dog.
He is an accomplished and award-winning landscape and nature photographer and a member of Canon Professional Services.
Bob is also a frequent guest on Colorado Springs' Fox21 News, for stories regarding outdoor recreation and photography.
He is a certified "Leave No Trace" trainer, and is a certified regional trail crew leader, trained in trail planning, building, repair and maintenance.
Bob is a member of the Colorado Springs Parks Department TOPS Working Committee,
is a member of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Cheyenne Mountain State Park, and is also a member of the advisory councils of both the Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance and the Trails and Open Space Coalition.
In addition, he is Past-President of the Board of Directors for the Friends of Cheyenne Cañon Park, and is the former Chairperson of El Paso County (CO) Parks Advisory Board, serving as an adviser to the County Commissioners on Parks, Trails and Open Space issues.
